WET CARPET RESTORATION
Restoring a wet carpet is much, much more cost-effective to replacing it.
If you act fast.
Otherwise you get mold and mildew. Wait a little too long, and you’ve got too much of them to do a successful carpet restoration.
That said, how do we go about it? The type of carpet determines the restoration method.
Restoring Glued Carpets
1. Remove all furniture and equipment, or raise on blocks and protect with padding.
2. Extract all water.
3. Treat the carpet with fungicide.
4. Clean the carpet using our own special, time-tested methods.
5. Further treat the carpet with fungicides and deodorant.
Restoring Carpets with Pad
1. Remove all furniture and equipment, or raise on blocks and protect with padding.
2. Extract all excess water.
3. Discard all wet carpet padding (sorry, there is no other option).
4. Restore the carpeting on-site if possible. If on-site restoration isn’t practical and it is an expensive carpet worth saving, we will remove the damaged carpet to our Local Restoration warehouse. (Moving a lesser grade carpet for restorations may not be cost-effective.)
5. Treat with fungicide and deodorant. We then store the carpet on racks until it’s time to reinstall with a new pad.
6. After reinstallation, clean using our own special, time-tested methods. (We do this after installation, to prevent shrinkage.)
7. Further treat the carpet with fungicides and deodorant.
| We’re water damage restoration specialists, have been for many years, and over time we’ve developed many special cleaning methods and even our own products, including proprietary fungicide and deodorant formulas. We know they work, we know how to use them. They were developed for only one thing -- successful treatment of carpet that has been water-damaged. |
